Anonymous Complaints

Santa Rosa City Schools uses STOPit, an online and app-based system, to empower students, parents, teachers and others to anonymously report anything of concern to school officials - from cyber-bullying to threats of violence or self-harm. However, due to its anonymous nature, unless the complaint contains specific information to investigate the allegation, or a willingness by the reporter to come forward later to provide a witness statement, the possible actions by administrators may be limited.

Formal Complaints

Santa Rosa City Schools utilizes the Uniform Complaint Procedure (UCP) to investigate and resolve complaints related to the following:

  • Unlawful discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying based on actual or perceived disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation
  • Bullying or hazing
  • Complaints alleging failure to comply with state or federal law in adult basic education, consolidated categorical aid programs, migrant education, vocational education, child care and development programs and special education programs
