Submit a STOPit Report

Santa Rosa City Schools uses STOPit, an online and app-based system, to empower students, parents, teachers and others to anonymously report anything of concern to school officials - from cyber-bullying to threats of violence or self-harm.

Students and family members have the power to help put an end to harmful and inappropriate behavior they see online through social media and other means. Students can use STOPit to reach out for help if they or a peer are facing a personal crisis or experiencing bullying, abuse, or are in need of mental health support. STOPit can be used to report:

• bullying
• cyberbullying
• discrimination
• harassment
• violence
• threats
• weapons
• alcohol or drug related issues
• mental health struggles like suicidal ideations

How does STOPit work?

1. Students or family members make a tip via mobile app or website.
2. Incident administrators monitor and review the submission.
3. School administrators receive and act on tip submission.

Students and families can use STOPit to:

• make anonymous reports through the STOPit mobile app or website
• submit photo or video evidence (App/Web Only)
• alert school administrators to issues early, before they escalate

Our district utilizes the UCP to investigate and resolve complaints related to the following:

• Unlawful discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying based on actual or perceived disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation
• Bullying or hazing
• Complaints alleging failure to comply with state or federal law in adult basic education, consolidated categorical aid programs, migrant education, vocational education, child care and development programs and special education programs

All teachers and staff are mandatory reporters for signs or allegations of child abuse. If you communicate it to any staff member or they suspect it, they are required by law to report it. 
 

You can also make complaints alleging child abuse or neglect, by contacting Sonoma County Family, Youth and Children's Services and/or the appropriate law enforcement agency.

The School Site Council (SSC) is a required governing body at every school that monitors the Comprehensive School Safety Plan. The SRHS SSC is a group of parents, students, teachers, administrators, and classified employees represented equally. 

Concerns about safety procedures can sent to the Principal and the SSC Chair.

Each 4th Period class sends a student representative to the Student Senate meetings.  The meetings allow ASB to communicate with the larger school community. Communicate with you student rep for your 4th period class to bring issues to the monthly Student Senate Meeting.
